SANA returned to Abu-Samra today, after a 2 months absence, to Dar Al Zahra’ for a medical/educational mission with Medecins Sans Frontieres.  Accompanying SANA today was midwife Lina EL Morhabi.

 

It was an intense day with a very busy clinic and the team couldn’t have done it with MSF’s Midwife Jinan Aarabi. SANA’s carried out full assessments on a large number of complicated patients. In addition, all patients were scanned by one of SANA’s stars, midwife Lina, who came out on this mission despite it being during her maternity leave! She skillfully scanned all the patients and had no trouble identifying all organs and biometric planes. The impact of her work on the SonoSim simulator was ever so evident… As a result, the team redated 33% of the patients seen.

 

At the end of the day, SANA’s team headed back home having made plans for the next visit with MSF…
