SANA Certifies 8 Midwives at the Lebanese University Tripoli Branch 20 December 2016

Another most memorable day for SANA as 8 of its trainees, who have been working diligently over the past year, received their well-deserved ISUOG Certification.

This was the culmination of a year of practical hands-on training after the completion of the theoretical course which was delivered to the midwifery students at the Lebanese University Tripoli Branch earlier this year.

All 8 trainees are certified midwives who have graduated from the Lebanese Univeristy: 7 from the class of 2016 and 1 from the class of 2015. They had passed the theoretical examination earlier on in the year and the practical examination this past week. They were all awarded their ISUOG Certificates today.

The ceremony was held at the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Public Health. In attendance were Drs. Issam Elias and Ree, S. Abu-Rustum from SANA and the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Dr. Hibah Mawlawi, the Director of the Midwifery School Dr. M. Fouad Ziade, the Coordinator for the midwifery students Mrs. Wafa’ Krayyim and instructor Mrs. Aline Jbarah.

Drs. Hibah, Fouad, Issam and Mrs. Wafa and Mrs. Aline handed the trainees their certificates and Dr. Reem S. Abu-Rustum pinned them with SANA’s pin.

It was indeed a moment of great pride for SANA at the accomplishments of its dedicated trainees, and it was an empowering moment for our trainees: the first in Lebanon to have ultrasound education integrated into their curriculum… SANA is ever so grateful to ISUOG and ISUOG Outreach for the support and inspiration…
