SANA returned to Hopital Aboujaoude for the second session of the Resident Training Course in Ob/Gyn Ultrasound in cooperation with ISUOG, structured in accordance with ISUOG Basic Training Guidelines (BT). Since the first session, there have been various “simulation-based” sessions where the residents practiced hands-on scanning using SANA’s simulator as well as participated in the online learning modules.
The day started with an overview of what has been accomplished thus far. Subsequently, 4 videos of ISUOG BT lectures were shown and discussed. The primary topics covered were physics and knobology, image interpretation, the female pelvis (normal and abnormal findings). The selected lectures had been presented by Dr. Lil Valentin at the BT Pre-Congress Course at the ISUOG World Congress in Rome in 2017 and by Dr. Shannon Morris at the BT Course with RCOG in Capetown in 2017.
The trainees had very positive feedback and several key points were highlighted and discussed.
All are counting down to the next session J
