SANA returned to Hopital Aboujaoude for the third session of the Resident Training Course in Ob/Gyn Ultrasound in cooperation with ISUOG, structured in accordance with ISUOG Basic Training Guidelines (BT). Since the first session, there have been several “simulation-based” sessions where the residents practiced hands-on scanning using SANA’s simulator as well as participated in the online learning modules.
The day started with an overview of what has been accomplished thus far and the plans for the future. Subsequently, 4 videos of ISUOG BT lectures were shown and discussed. The primary topics covered were evaluating the fetus at 4-10 weeks; 10-14 weeks and normal/abnormal anatomy in the second trimester and finally fetal growth patterns. The selected lectures had been presented by Drs. Cohen-Overbeek; Ali, Abu-Rustum and Chudleigh at various ISUOG BT courses in the past 2 years. In addition, clinical correlations were highlighted with the trainees.
At the conclusion of the session, submitted images by the trainees were reviewed with feedback given in order to improve them.
All are counting down to the next session in a few weeks J
