SANA’s team returned to Dar Al Zahra’ in Abu-Samra today for a medical/educational mission with Medecins Sans Frontieres. Accompanying SANA was Midwife Nariman Abbouchi.

 

Despite it being the 5^th day of Eid, the clinic was quite busy. As is customary,  SANA’s team provided comprehensive prenatal care to a multitude of patients ranging in age between 16 and 37 years. In addition, SANA carried out full assessments on the patients and they were all scanned by Moidwife Nariman under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. Nariman exemplified comfort as she was able to carry out the 6-step approach and identify all key anatomic and biometric planes. SANA redated 31% of the patients seen today.

 

As always, midwife Louiis from MSF accompanied SANA’s team and helped arrange follow ups for the patients and provided them with the needed supplements.

 

At the end of another rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit with MSF…
