SANA’s team carried out the first medical and educational mission today in Jabal Al Biddawi with Midwife Ibtisam Seif at the health dispensary of “Amani Organization”.

It was an intense clinic with many grand multiparas patients as well as teen moms who were provided with comprehensive obstetrical care. Midwife Ibtisam carried out full obstetrical scans under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. The patients today were between their 5th to 9th months of pregnancy. They ranged in age between 17 and 42 years. Of those, 25% were on their first pregnancy and 48% were on pregnancy 4 or more. Midwife Ibtisam skillfully scanned the patients in accordance with the 6-step approach. She effortlessly obtained all biometric planes and was able to identify all anatomic planes. Follow ups were arranged for the patients as indicated.

At the end of a most rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit to Jabal Al Biddawi.
