SANA’s team returned Jabal Al Biddawi on a medical and educational mission today at the health dispensary of “Amani Organization”. Accompanying SANA was trainee midwife Sara Zakaria.
The patients today ranged in age between 21 and 30 years all between their 4th and 9th pregnancies. It proved to be a “see one, do one teach one” experience today as Midwife Ibtisam skillfully scanned then instructed new trainee Midwife Sara on the 6-Step approach, under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. It was a joy to watch them work systematically and confidently! SANA redated 20% of the patients seen today. In addition, two patients had had prior offspring with congenital heart defects and fetal echos were arranged for them.

At the end of a most rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit to Jabal Al Biddawi.
