SANA’s team returned to Jabal Al Biddawi on a medical and educational mission today at the health dispensary of “Amani Organization”. Accompanying SANA was trainee midwife Douaa Chakouch.

Midwife Ibtisam Seif was waiting for SANA’s team and had arranged for an intense clinic. The patients today were between their 4th to 6th months of pregnancy. They ranged in age between 22 and 30 years. Midwife Ibtisam, proved yet again, what a fabulous instructor she was as she guided Douaa though her first scans performing the 6-Step approach, under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. Douaa, who herself is due to deliver any day, let nothing stop her: she scanned systematically, with skill and proved to be well read and most dedicated.SANA redated 33% of the patients seen today. In addition, there were several patients with complicated medical histories and follow up care was arranged for them

At the end of a most rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit to Jabal Al Biddawi.
