It was the first meeting of 2018 at Hopital Aboujaoude for the sixth session of the Resident Training Course in Ob/Gyn Ultrasound in cooperation with ISUOG, structured in accordance with ISUOG Basic Training Guidelines (BT).
Â
Today’s session commenced with a multiple choice examination that the residents took to assess their retention of the theoretical material that has been covered thus far in the curriculum. This shall reflect their retention at 4 months given the last theoretical session was held in September. Subsequently, the image requirements were reviewed particularly since the consensus report on obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound curriculum and competency assessment in residency training program has just been published.
Â
Subsequently, 5 videos of ISUOG BT lectures were shown and discussed. The primary topics covered were the 20 +2 planes, longitudinal planes, the fetal brain, the fetal face and the fetal neck and chest.
Â
Various issues were discussed with the trainees in preparation for course completion in the next few months and the date was set for the next session…
