SANA’s Team Returns to Jabal Al Biddawi 6 March 2018

SANA’s team returned to Jabal Al Biddawi today on a medical and educational mission at the health dispensary of “Amani Organization”. Accompanying SANA was trainee Dr. Lara Osmani, an Ob/Gyn resident at the Lebanese University.

As usual, Midwife Ibtisam Seif was waiting for SANA’s team and had arranged for a packed organized clinic. The patients today were between their 5th to 6th months of pregnancy. They ranged in age between 17 and 34 years. Both Midwife Ibtisam and Dr. Lara were pretty advanced in terms of the 6-step approach and hence the concentration today was on the 3-sweep approach to properly scan the fetus for malformations and identify all key anatomic structures. It was amazing to see their skill improve with each scan and how they assisted on another in carrying out all the probe manipulations…

SANA thanks Mr. Dory Mansour  and Levant Alie Houses SAL and for providing all nutritional supplements today.

At the end of a most rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit to Jabal Al Biddawi.
