SANA returned to Orange Nassau Governmental Hospital in Tripoli today for a medical educational mission with SANA’s trainee, Midwife Nariman, who is also the obstetrical charge nurse at the hospital.

Â
The team arrived to a packed clinic that was superbly organized by Midwife Nariman. The patients patiently waited their turn to be seen, some of whom were there for 5 hours. SANA provided comprehensive obstetrical care to the patients and all patients were scanned by Midwife Nariman under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. Nariman skillfully scanned the patients in accordance with the 6-step approach. All patients today were between their 4th to 8th months of pregnancy. They ranged in age between 18 and 43 years. Many were on their first pregnancy and several were advanced maternal age mothers with complex past obstetrical histories. Followups were arranged for them as indicated.

At the end of a most rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit to the ONGH.
