SANA’s team returned to Dar Al Zahra’ in Abu-Samra today for a medical/educational mission with Medecins Sans Frontieres. Accompanying SANA were 2 trainee midwives Jinan Awwad and Anwar Alali.
Â
SANA had a busy day as usual and was aided by Midwife Louiss from MSF. SANA’s team provided comprehensive prenatal care to a multitude of patients ranging in age between 19 and 35 years. In addition, SANA carried out full assessments on the patients and they were all scanned by Midwives Jinan and Anwar under the guidance of SANA’s Reem S. Abu-Rustum. They both demonstrated comfort and skill carrying out the 6-step approach and they were able to identify all key anatomic and biometric planes.

At the end of another rewarding day, the team headed back home and plans were made for the next visit with MSF…
