It was a historical day for SANA as it provided ISUOG certification to its largest group of trainees ever. Today, 14 midwives, who have been working diligently over the past 2 years, received their well-deserved ISUOG Certification.

Â
This was after an average of 16 months of practical hands-on training following the completion of the theoretical course which was delivered to the midwifery students at the Lebanese University Tripoli Branch during the first quarter of 2017. All 14 trainees are certified midwives who have graduated at various stages and 3 of them are seasoned midwives in the community. They had all passed the theoretical examination earlier on and have now completed the the practical requirements. They were all awarded their ISUOG Certificates today.
Â
The ceremony was held at SANA’s location at CFAFC. In attendance were the past Director of the Midwifery School Dr. M. Fouad Ziade, the Coordinator for the midwifery students Mrs. Wafa’ Krayyim and instructor Mrs. Aline Jbarah. SANA was represented by Drs. Issam Elias and Reem S. Abu-Rustum.
Â
Drs. Fouad, Issam and Mrs. Wafa and Mrs. Aline handed the trainees their certificates and Dr. Reem S. Abu-Rustum pinned them with SANA’s pin.

It was such a memorable moment of great pride for SANA at the accomplishments of its dedicated trainees, and it was an empowering moment for our trainees. SANA is ever so grateful to ISUOG and ISUOG Outreach for the support and inspiration…
